The TASC module (Transient Active Short Circuit module) extends the UPI with powerful test options for various short-circuit scenarios of electrical machines. In combination with the VICE software, targeted short circuits can be realized during operation and flexibly adapted to specific requirements.
- Dynamic short-circuit control: Enables short-circuits at any or predefined rotor positions.
- Flexible continuous control: The short-circuit duration can be specified either in time or in electrical periods.
- Automatic control recovery: The original operating point can be automatically restored after the short-circuiting process.
- Synchronization for transient measuring systems: A trigger signal can be provided either at the same time as the short circuit or a defined time or number of revolutions before it.
- Extended safety functions: The module offers temperature and voltage monitoring.
